2009 NCWHA Oktoberfest Horse Show Updates as of 9/15/09

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would send out a reminder that the NCWHA Oktoberfest Horse Show pre-entry deadline is upon us. To avoid late charges pre-entries must be post marked by September 24, 2009. I will also need to let the fairgrounds know at this time how many stalls and tack rooms will be needed for the show so please get your entries in ASAP. Thanks!

We have a lot of things in store for the 2nd annual Oktoberfest Horse Show including:

1. Versatility Classes Saturday night – Have FUN!!!!
(Don't forget to sign up for the HP award with your entries in order to be eligible)

2. Barn decorating contest- judging to take place during the dinner break Saturday night.

3. Saturday night exhibitors/spectators dinner -
**Please purchase your dinner tickets in advance on your entry forms as we need a headcount for the caterer. For more information please Contact Tammy Chance at tachance2003@yahoo.com .

4. NCWHA Dessert Auction Saturday Night - Please join us Saturday night after the Exhibitors dinner for the NCWHA Dessert Auction!! So far for the dessert auction we have at least 1 homemade blackberry pie, 1 homemade lemon meringue pie, homemade peanut brittle, and the list goes on. YUM!! For additional information or to donate an item for the dessert auction please contact Shayna Shaw-Kingsbury at neardark07@aol.com .

5. NCWHA Silent Auction- This will be going on through-out the weekend so make sure and stop by to see all the great items to bid on. For additional information or to donate an item for the silent auction please contact Shayna Shaw-Kingsbury at neardark07@aol.com .

6. Perpetual Trophies - (many of the championship classes will have them). ** If you are interested in donating a perpetual trophy please contact Tammy Chance at tachance2003@yahoo.com .

7. Correction & Additions to the premium -

Class # 39A OGB Youth 2 Gait, E/W (Add)

Class # 40 TWH Pleasure- NCWHA Open Rider Members Class 3 Gait, E/W (Correction)

Class # 56A Halter- Mare & Foal (Add)

Class # 75A TWH Pleasure- Youth 3 Gait, E/W (Add)            
               
Class # 80 TWH Pleasure- NCWHA Amateur Rider Members Class 2 Gait, E/W (Correction)     
 
All “SSH Classes” are open to Country Pleasure, Trail Pleasure and Liteshod division horses. The maximum shoe size allowed in this class a “regulation competition liteshod shoe”. These horses may then cross enter into their appropriate divisions.

8. Class Sponsors - We still have many classes that need sponsorships so if have you haven’t yet please think about doing so. With out sponsorships these horse shows would not be possible.
