The Northern California Walking Horse Association is a group dedicated to building a Pleasure Walking Horse Community in Northern California through:

• Promotion of the Tennessee Walking Horse.
• Serving as an advocate for the Tennessee Walking Horse against all abusive and inhumane treatment.
• Promoting the abilities of the natural Tennessee Walking Horse through breed promotion, competition, publicity, education, clinics, marketing, and advertising.
• Providing education and assistance to all persons interested in furthering their knowledge of the Tennessee Walking Horse and general horsemanship.
• Providing competitive venues where Tennessee Walking Horses are exhibited and judged in full compliance with all aspects of the Horse Protection Act.
• Providing an open and positive environment for those with an interest in the Tennessee Walking Horse to communicate, socialize, compete, learn, and enjoy their horses.
