The California State Fair wrapped up its 156th year on September 7th  and the TENNESSEE GLIDERS were on hand at Cal Expo in Sacramento, California to demonstrate and educate those attending the Fair on all aspects of the flat shod Tennessee Walking Horse.  Visitors came out in droves to see this years Fair with attendance estimated at 676,000.  This is the groups 4th  year representing our great breed here.  The group performed a 20 minute breed demonstration and a meet-n-greet session daily during the State Fair’s 18 day run.  This year some of our horses were also ridden in other State Fair equine events such as a Team Penning demonstration, and a special military tribute show.  Their docile nature and outstanding presence inspired quite a few onlookers to inquire further about the TWH horse and area breeders.  Many spectators were pleased to see the Tennessee Walking Horse represented here and stopped to ask questions and pick up marketing materials about the breed. Thanks to the Northern California Walking Horse Association and TWHBEA www.twhbea.com  for providing the various marketing materials that was very well received.  Thanks also to Tim & Tony for video taping one of our performances and meet-n-greet sessions so that we could share it on the NCWHA website.  The goal of the TENNESSEE GLIDERS was to educate the public and promote this wonderful breed.  The TENNESSEE GLIDERS look forward to attending the California State Fair again next year!
