The first Annual Meeting and related festivities for the Northern California Walking Horse Association (the “Association”) takes place on February 27, 2010 from 4:30pm to approximately 7pm in Keck Hall at Rockville Presbyterian Fellowship, 4177 Suisun Valley Rd., Fairfield, CA 94534.

 

The event will begin with the formal business meeting, followed by awards presentations and recognitions and of course, a potluck dinner. We have much to be proud of and celebrate, so do not miss this event. In a year of industry and regulatory turmoil, our success in forming and growing a successful Walking Horse group is gratifying and remarkable. Besides, we also need you for a quorum to conduct official business! Please note that this is not a closed meeting, and non-members are welcome to join us. Nonmembers should be aware, though, that every attempt will be made to convert you to member status at this event!

 

The Annual Meeting of Members will commence at 4:40pm. If you are a member of record as of the record date, December 31, 2009, please make every effort to be there, as this is the one meeting of the year mandatory for members to approve the business items listed in the attached document “Annual Meeting of Members.” We expect to handle the official business quickly and then move on to…

 

Awards and Recognitions will begin at the close of the formal meeting, NCWHA’s first year has been exceptional, and we have many to congratulate. Please note that all the individuals who placed in a category will receive awards, not just the winners. Please clap your way out of your seat, scream hysterically and otherwise show your enthusiasm in congratulating these folks as they receive their awards. Potluck! NCWHA will provide drinks. Perhaps if our Association continues to flourish, we will outgrow potlucks and cast them aside forever in favor of a real catered banquet in the future.
